Task Four (Blog Posting): Provide a brief summary of the services offered by U Tube. Information can be drawn from the week five tutorial hand out.

“YouTube is the leader in online video, and the premier destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience. YouTube allows people to easily upload and share video clips on http://www.youtube.com/ and across the Internet through websites, mobile devices, blogs, and email.
Everyone can watch videos on YouTube. People can see first-hand accounts of current events, find videos about their hobbies and interests, and discover the quirky and unusual. As more people capture special moments on video, YouTube is empowering them to become the broadcasters of tomorrow.” Retrieved from http://www.youtube.com/ on the 24th of May

You tube is a free service for anyone with internet access to use.

Task Five (Blog Posting): Provide a brief account (1-2 paragraphs) on how the use of planning (storyboarding and scripting aided your groups short film.

Using the storyboard allowed our group to all work together to come up with a plan that showed each scene in our short film. This meant that all group members had a clear visual script that they could refer to and no scenes would be forgotten.

This aid applies well to the VARK learning theory. Visual, aural, reader/writer and kinaesthetic. It caters well for different learning needs within a group, Visual; see the plan of action, aural; discussion of each scene, reader/writer; room to make written notes, Kinaesthetic; acting out the scenes.

The storyboard allows all group members to be clear on the scene order which assists with good time management, clear roles and participation.
