Tutorial Seven: Posting You Tube Videos and Flickr Badges to Blogs: Explaining the process

Task One: Explain the step by step process required to embed You Tube videos into your Blog . Consider using screen captures to provide a visual representation of these steps.


1) Google you tube
2) Search whatever you want to search. For example I searched: occupational therapy, participation, Dunedin.
3) A choice of video clips will appear on your page, chose one
4) Look to the right side of the page and you should see a heading “Embed”
5) Under the heading “Embed” you should see a long line of letters and symbols.
6) Highlight the letters and symbols by holding “control” and “c” on your keyboard at the same time.
7) Right click your mouse and select copy
8) Now sign into you blog account
9) Go to your home page
10) Click “New post” on the top right hand corner
11) Right click again and select paste
12) Select “Publish post” on the bottom left hand side of the page
13) Congratulations your new posting should now appear on your page
Task Two: Explain the step by step process required to embed a Flickr Badge into your Blog . Consider using screen captures to provide a visual representation of these steps.

1) Log on to flickr
2) Scroll down to the bottom of page, go to help, select “tool”
3) Select “create badge” on right hand side
4) Choose which style you would like your badge to look like
5) Then click on next
6) Select all of your photos and videos
7) Then click next
8) Choose your favourite colour
9) Click next
10) On your page it will read “this is the code you need”
11) Highlight the letters and symbols by holding “control” and “c” on your keyboard at the same time.
12) Go to your Right click your mouse and select copy
13) Now sign into you blog account
14) Go to your home page
15) Click “New post” on the top right hand corner
16) Select layout
17) Select add a page element
18) Sect html/java script
19) Under “content” right click again and select paste
20) Select “save” on the bottom right hand side of the page
21) Congratulations your new badge should now appear on your page!
